We are a day early this month but everyone is looking forward to turning off for the July 4th weekend so we thought we would get this out the door a day early.

There were some interesting spends during June as several new candidates got in the race and we anticipate July to accelerate even more as candidates jockey for position on the August GOP primary debate stage (poll numbers are part of the equation to how close a candidate gets to the center of the stage and spending tends to help poll numbers).

The numbers presented below are from June 1 to present

Top Lines:
$18,248,627.37 was spent on IE
Never Back Down, the DeSantis aligned super pac was the big spender of the month
Mayor Suarez aligned SOS America PAC comes in hot with $1,000,000 spend

Never Back Down (DeSantis aligned) – was the high spender of the month for the first time and as we mentioned in May we will be watching to see if NBD actually spends the $100M they are claiming they will spend in voter contact:
$6,189,777.72 all supporting DeSantis in Iowa and South Carolina
It will be interesting to see their strategy, will Never Back Down only support DeSantis and leave the attacks on Trump to the campaign or will they jump into the fray? So far it is all supporting DeSantis.

Make America Great Again Inc (Trump Aligned) - was the second big spender of the with some rather unusual spends:
$5,401,475.44 was the total spent for the month
$2,294,923.53 was spent opposing DeSantis in South Carolina - opposing DeSantis is all it has really done to date
$1,730,087.65 was spent supporting Trump in Iowa and NH, supportive Trump spending is a first
$1,376,464.26 was very surprisingly spent opposing Biden in SC

TIM PAC (Sen. Tim Scott Aligned) - came out with their first major expenditures
$3,274,534.36 was spent supporting Sen. Scott

SOS America PAC (Mayor Suarez Aligned) - this spend was spread out across SC, NV, IA, and NH, which is where everyone else is spending money, he also spent in Florida, and surprising also spent in Texas.
$985,912.81 was spent in total over the month
$42,534.33 was spent in Texas
$152,730.41 was spent in Florida

Committed to America (Pence Aligned)– the Super PAC supporting Mike Pence has started spending
$699,382.34 was spent supporting Pence in Iowa

Ready for Ron: The Super PAC that is supposedly supporting Ron DeSantis but is only spending against Biden and is filing far more expenditures than money being raised claimed to have spent $400,000 more opposing Biden again this month.  We will see on their report in July how much they have raised and if they revise down any of these expenditures.

Tell It Like It Is PAC (Christie Aligned) - started their spend to support Chris Christie in the primary
$309,767.64 was spent supporting Christie across Iowa and New Hampshire

America Strong and Free PAC (Asa Hutchinson Aligned)
$201,306.97 was spent supporting Hutchinson in Iowa

Stand For America Fund, Inc., the Nikki Haley aligned Super PAC has spent:
$0

People's Pharma Movement - A new Super PAC supporting Robert Kennedy
$0

And we have our first major expenditures of the Senate cycle. Club for Growth has jumped in against Jim Justice in the GOP primary in WV.
$300,552.14 was spent in opposition to Justice

That is most of the interesting spend for the month. Spending in the congressional primaries will likely spike after Labor Day and that is when the Presidential primary spend will be full throttle.  We will keep watching and reporting as these $$$ dynamics develop.
