Nothing incredibly interesting on the Super PAC side happening yet.

Haley aligned Stand for America spent another $125,000

Ready for Ron, an alleged Super PAC in waiting for DeSantis for President, that DeSantis allies have said is a grift, is actually spending money….but not to support DeSantis. They are spending in opposition to Biden…to the tune of $1,735,000.

ESG was originally intended as a part of a company’s risk management mechanism, it allowed for greater input from Environment, Social, and Governance risk factors internally and externally. It was a way for execs to get a better understanding of these previously overlooked risk categories.

‍What was originally designed as a risk management mechanism is now CREATING significant risk as ESG has garnered a reputation as a financial shoehorn, making liberal priorities a prerequisite for access to capital.

Newly empowered Republicans are reacting to what they perceive as an unholy alliance of capital and liberal policies. Theres no lack of examples showing ESG creating risk: from last week’s NYTimes piece, How Environmentally Conscious Investing Became a Target of Conservatives to todays Axios article highlighting Consumer Research’s 30 page report that includes lists of questions House Republicans should use to expose vulnerabilities of asset managers, even attempting to establish fact patterns for litigation. .

We began the process of building out a specific research and messaging product for clients last summer as the warning signs began flashing that this was going to happen if Republicans took back either side of the Capitol. Now that it is reality, we wanted to put this out to a wider audience of folks who may be realizing risk and need assistance understanding how the Republican electorate reacts to corporate messaging, policy priorities, and capital practices. Elected officials react to their electorate, which is why getting a handle on how the electorate processes corporate messaging is so important. This information facilitates the construction of a messaging and engagement strategy that will actually create influence <> influence mitigates risk.
